Vice Chairman Zeng Mingbo's team visited the company site and learned about the company's construction, operation, and trade union work. He fully affirmed the company's work and gave high praise to Dongjiang Veolia's trade union work. Vice Chairman Zeng introduced the recent work priorities of the municipal federation of trade unions and emphasized the key areas that grassroots trade unions should focus on. First, strengthen communication and coordination. Grassroots trade unions should act as a bridge and link between enterprises and employees, giving full play to the functions of the trade union and strengthening communication and exchanges with employees. Second, protect the rights and interests of workers. Grassroots trade unions should widely collect opinions and suggestions from employees, protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers, and improve employee initiative. Vice Chairman Zeng suggested that the Dongjiang Veolia trade union should next focus on signing collective contracts and establishing a labor law supervision committee.
The comrades who participated in this investigation also included Fang Ming, Minister of the Rights Protection Department of Huizhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Xie Xiaolu, a second-level chief staff member of the Rights Protection Department.
